This is a nice example of an RIA that updates in realtime with the latest results of the US Presidential election. Lots of cool little features.. great use of Flash, and very informative.

CNN had a pretty neat one too, that even tracks the counties.

The one on CNN is ok but the poor thing about it is that you have to click 2-3 times to find out how many EV each state has. The info is too spread out.
The one on Yahoo's home page is much better in that respect: slide the cursor over a state and a little popup shows you all the info you need to know.

The execution is great. I love flash ria's. But the design is lacking. One of the main purposes of flash ria's is to free us up to create designs more user accessible, and this thing looks like something off of MacOS 6. It's mimicking a dusty ol' operating system!
Lose the old OS look and design something more accessible to the user, and fun!
BTW, this comment is like a year after the fact!
